Gorby Shih studied at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. He was born in Taipei, moved to NYC when he was 2, then to NJ when he was 3, and then back to Taipei when he was 9. In Taipei, he studied at a local school for 2 years before enrolling in Taipei

American School, an international school.

 

Because of his cultureshocked childhood, he identifies with "The Other". His work focuses on exploring The Other through the colors of supernatural, fantasy, and

sci fi. He's won recognition for his work in sound design and has been honored in several feature screenplay competitions.
